Storming the Sound North is a conference for environmental educators in the north Puget Sound region, including the counties of Whatcom, Skagit, Snohomish, Island, Jefferson and San Juan. This is a great opportunity for teachers, environmental organizations with education programs, and students with an interest in a career in environmental education.
Registration is limited to those involved with environmental issues in the target region. Upon arrival, participants will be asked to select the sessions they want to attend so please review the agenda.
Thanks to the generosity of sponsors this conference remains very affordable with a $10 registration fee. Lunch is included.
The first Storming the Sound was held at Padilla Bay Reserve in 2000. The idea caught on and now Storming the Sound conferences are held in other locations aroung Puget Sound. This year, Storming the Sound North is being organized by Washington Environmental Council, Skagit Conservation Education Alliance, Samish Indian Nation, Solid Waste Division of Skagit County Public Works and Padilla Bay Reserve.
